Maximising storage space under a pitched roof can be a challenge—especially when working with irregular angles and tight recesses. In this recent walk-in wardrobe project, the unique demands of the sloped ceiling were met with precision and efficiency using Lamello’s innovative P-System connectors.

The Challenge: Atypical Angles and Limited Assembly Space

The custom-built walk-in wardrobe had to fit under a sharply pitched roof, requiring precise joinery and seamless integration into the awkward recesses of the attic space. Traditional fastening methods would have made assembly difficult and potentially compromised the clean design aesthetic.

The Solution: Lamello’s P-System – Smart, Strong, Invisible

To overcome these challenges, the Tenso P-14 connector was used to connect the drawers to one another without the need for screws or tools. As a self-clamping connector, the Tenso P-14 ensured a strong hold and fast assembly while maintaining a completely invisible joint—ideal for premium furniture where appearance matters.

In the tighter recesses of the sloped ceiling, a combination of Tenso P-14 and Clamex P-14 connectors was employed. These P-System connectors enabled quick and accurate assembly of the surrounding furniture elements without requiring clamping or extra assembly space. The Clamex P-14, in particular, offered the added benefit of detachability—making future adjustments or disassembly straightforward.

The Result: Precision and Aesthetics in Perfect Harmony

Thanks to the flexibility and ease-of-use of Lamello’s P-System, the entire wardrobe was installed with minimal on-site effort. The finished result is a sleek, tailor-made walk-in wardrobe that takes full advantage of the available space—even under challenging architectural conditions.

Lamello connectors not only sped up the assembly process but also enhanced the overall quality of the furniture. The project is a testament to how smart joinery solutions can turn a complex design brief into a highly functional and visually pleasing result.
